Big Night of Musicals 2024

The National Lottery’s Big Night of Musicals is back

It’s back! The National Lottery’s Big Night of Musicals – a spectacular show featuring performances from some of the West End’s top attractions – returned to Manchester’s AO Arena on 22nd January 2024.

Hosted once again by comedian Jason Manford (pictured), this incredible night of entertainment highlights everything that’s great about big stage musicals. This time around there were jaw-dropping performances from shows including Hamilton, Les Misérables and The Phantom of the Opera, as well as Everybody’s Talking About Jamie (pictured), A Chorus Line, Moulin Rouge! The Musical, GREASE – UK and Ireland tour, Hadestown and Guys & Dolls. You can see some of the highlights below.

12,000 free** tickets to this incredible show were set aside for you, our players, as a massive thank you for helping over 750 theatre-related projects across the UK last year. The final allocation of free** tickets were offered to our players on 4th January 2024.

At the 2024 The National Lottery’s Big Night of Musicals, Jason Manford was joined on stage by a true West End legend: Beverley Knight (pictured with Jason Manford). The star of The Bodyguard, Cats, Memphis, Sylvia and Sister Act performed one of her classic numbers and helped surprise some National Lottery heroes.

Beverley Knight, who also performed at The National Lottery’s Big Night of Musicals in 2022, said: “It’s great to be...part of this incredible show. The support National Lottery players make to the theatre industry is crucial to the performers and people – at large and small venues – who help make a night at the theatre so special.”

The show is available to watch on BBC iPlayer and is also available on BBC Sounds.
