KSI kicks off National Lottery’s Revive Live initiative
Rapper KSI – Olajide ‘JJ’ Olatunji – has performed a secret show in London on Friday 23rd July as part of The National Lottery’s Revive Live initiative.
The limited capacity show at Camden’s Powerhaus was brought to fans by The National Lottery – one of the biggest funders of culture in the UK who have partnered with leading UK charity Music Venue Trust to help revive the UK’s grassroots live music sector.
KSI, one of the biggest-selling British breakthrough artists of 2020, performed the free gig to celebrate his sophomore album All Over The Place entering the Official UK Album Charts at No. 1.
Speaking before the show, KSI said, “Ya boy is putting on a free show for fans to come and celebrate my new album All Over The Place. I’m proud to be supporting the return of live music to grassroots music venues with a special one-off event for The National Lottery’s Revive Live Tour.”
KSI’s secret show is one of 300 live performances set to take place across the UK this summer under the Revive Live banner. The initiative is designed to enable the grassroots live music industry to start promoting shows again in the knowledge that the upfront costs associated with touring will be covered by The National Lottery.
Tickets for The National Lottery Revive Live Tour went on sale on Monday 12th July. You can find more information at musicvenuetrust.com.
