A boom in June as National Lottery makes 32 millionaires

Take the Lotto draw on 8th June for example. It’s a date that won’t be forgotten by the lucky player who scored an incredible £11,449,068 prize.

The National Lottery made a total of 32 new millionaires in June. As well as our fantastic £11MMillion Lotto winner, a further 17 Lotto players joined the millionaire’s club just in time to book that summer holiday of a lifetime.

June was also a sizzling month for EuroMillions players. No less than eight of them became millionaires thanks to the UK Millionaire Maker.

We met two players who each won prizes of £1MMillion on EuroMillions. First up was Graeme White and his wife Katherine, a pair of police officers from Cambridgeshire, who are planning to live the ‘good life’ on a property with room for goats and chickens.

The couple, who have a 5-year-old daughter and a 3-year-old son, admitted they were in disbelief when they found out they had become overnight millionaires. Graeme said, “I’m a bit of a joker at times, so when I turned to Katherine and told her we’d won the EuroMillions, she didn’t take me seriously until she saw my phone.” Read more of their ‘arresting’ National Lottery story here.

EuroMillions also proved life-changing for motor mechanic Dave Williams and his wife Sarah. The Cardiff couple are looking forward to travelling the world after landing a £1MMillion prize on EuroMillions. Dave told us he thought he’d won £100,000 when he first looked at The National Lottery app and was astounded to find out his prize was significantly bigger than that. June was also the month that two very lucky Set For Life players each landed the game’s top prize of £10,000 every month for 30 years. A further nine players scored Set For Life prizes of £10,000 every month for a year.

Turning our attention to Thunderball we can reveal that four players each landed the game’s top prize of £500,000 in June. And Lotto HotPicks added £350,000 to the bank accounts of another two National Lottery players who each won the game’s top prize.

June was also a great month for one of our Instant Win Game players who snared an incredible £1MMillion prize. Meanwhile, two Scratchcard players found themselves swooning in June after each winning prizes of £1MMillion and yet another player scratched off an incredible prize of £2MMillion!
