Winners

Can you pick the winner in our new Lotto ad?

Will you be next? That’s the question posed by a new ad campaign for Lotto from The National Lottery, which puts the emphasis on fun and the thrill of a big win.

The campaign centres around a series of short videos set in everyday locations: a chip shop, a newsagent and a cinema. Each one highlights the fact Lotto creates two millionaires a week on average**.

The first ads you’ll be seeing everywhere from social media to TV and streaming services such as Netflix and Amazon Prime, are set in a busy chippy on a Saturday night (does it get much more British than that?). As the camera pans around the crowded room, we’re told that one of the customers is about to find out they’ve won Lotto. But who’s the millionaire going to be?

“Maybe Mo, dreaming about a chip butty – and who can blame him,” says the voiceover. “Or Adele, who’s wondering who actually buys the pickled eggs?”

If you want to find out who becomes our Lotto millionaire, you’ll have to watch the ad!

As well as the new ads, you’ll be seeing some very special billboards popping up in iconic locations in cities including London, Liverpool, Leeds and Cardiff. The see-through billboards with messaging such as ‘The next millionaire could be outside King’s Cross Station’ invite you to imagine who in the crowd might win next.

To find out which chippy customer becomes a Lotto millionaire take a look at our first ‘Who will be next?’ ad below.
