Scratchcard millionaires wed and win again
National Lottery Scratchcard millionaires Jamie and Danielle Kay have tied the knot at their dream wedding. With scratchcards as favours it was perhaps no surprise when Jamie won again, banking £200, as well as his bride, on his big day.
In front of their nearest and dearest Jamie and Danielle had a day they could only have dreamt of before Jamie’s £1Million win on a National Lottery Scratchcard in September 2016. The newlyweds, who have been together for almost 5 years, always planned to marry, getting engaged in 2014 but had thought it would be a humble affair. Then 9 weeks after the safe arrival of their first child, Jamie scooped the top prize on a Millionaire Riches (2016) Scratchcard and all that changed in an instant.
Jamie said, “Being able to give Danielle her dream wedding has been the icing on the cake for a pretty phenomenal year. People say that the first year of parenthood is a whirlwind and they’d be right, add to that becoming a millionaire, buying a new dream home, investing in a business and getting married, it’s been utterly crazy, but a very good crazy!”
Lavish
Marking the end of that crazy year the couple hosted a lavish marquee wedding in the grounds of a Dorset manor house. Guests enjoyed a sumptuous meal, plenty of Champagne and dancing under the stars before the evening culminated in a surprise dance routine for Danielle laid on by the groom and his best men.
While the lottery millionaires have already enjoyed a few holidays in the sun since their win, plans for an exotic honeymoon are temporarily on hold. Instead Jamie, Danielle and their young son are honeymooning in their dream family home which they moved into just days after tying the knot.
Luck
When Jamie revealed the £1Million win he was working as a roofer while Danielle was caring for their new born son, with the little family living in rented accommodation.
“Don’t get me wrong, before the win life was lovely. Like any young family it was tight but we worked hard and made good decisions, one of which was buying that lucky Scratchcard!
“We have always been so happy together and since our son came bounding into the world, life has just got better and better – it’s like he’s our little lucky charm.”
And of course it had to be Scratchcards as wedding favours. Jamie joked ‘we’re hoping to create another Lottery millionaire to join this magical club’ before revealing the big winner on the day was him, with a £200 win to go alongside his bride.
The National Lottery has been changing the lives of winners and supporting good causes across the UK since 1994. In that time, there have been more than 7,400 new millionaires created and by playing The National Lottery you raise over £4 million for Good Causes every dayΔ.
