Viva Las Vegas: £300Thousand winners Robert and Julie plan dream holiday
Plymouth’s Robert Kittle is looking forward to seeing the bright lights of Las Vegas after winning an incredible £300,000 prize on a National Lottery Scratchcard. After dreaming about the trip of a lifetime for years, Robert plans to take his partner Julie Goodwin, 63, and her two daughters to the Nevada resort.
Robert said, “We have talked about going to Las Vegas for a long time and it’s been a dream of ours to go together, so being able to make it a reality is amazing. To be able to take our family is an incredible feeling and we can’t wait to make those memories all together.”
Recalling the moment he realised he’d won, Robert said, “I nipped to the shops to pick up a newspaper, but they didn’t have any left; when I saw the Scratchcards I thought, ‘why not?’ I honestly just couldn’t believe it when I started scratching off the symbols and saw that I had won. I checked it over and over, and even got my family members to double check before we realised that we’d won such a huge amount.
“It was very surreal seeing that amount in front of me!”
Robert and Julie, who have seven children, 20 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren between them, are already thinking about other treats for themselves and their family.
