Simon scores a conversion to a Mega Rich life

Lightning has struck twice this year for Warrington Wolves fans at one logistics company. Simon Rustage has scored the top prize of £250,000 every year for the next 15 years on the scratchcard Mega Rich – hard on the heels of a syndicate of his co-workers, who scooped a Lotto jackpot in January.

Simon will receive a cheque for a cool quarter-of-a-million pounds every October from now until the year 2029.

While he has no plans to quit his job as a stock handler, he's already drawn up a shopping list that includes a new car and a season ticket to see his beloved Rugby League team, Warrington Wolves.

It is like having a job with a £250,000 salary but not actually going into work.

Simon said: 'I just bought it and then didn't really think – I scratched it immediately in the store…I was absolutely delighted – things like this just don’t happen to people like me.'

He added: 'It is absolutely unbelievable. This is just the best prize ever. It is like having a job with a £250,000 salary but not actually going into work. I am going to take my time over what I do and how I spend the money. I certainly have no plans to give up work at the present time.

'It is such a lovely way to receive the money – it provides me with security and reassurance.'

Wolves fans at Simon's workplace, Norbert Dentressangle, are now two-thirds of the way to a National Lottery hat trick this year.

In January a syndicate of fellow and former workers scooped a £1.7 million Lotto jackpot. But it was six weeks before the Part Timers, also keen Warrington Wolves fans, discovered their good fortune after forgetting to check their ticket.

The National Lottery has been changing the lives of winners and supporting good causes across the UK since 1994. In that time, there have been more than 7,200 new millionaires created and by playing The National Lottery you raise over £4 million for Good Causes every dayΔ.
