Get a sneak beak, sorry peek, at Steve Coogan’s heartwarming new film as part of National Lottery Open Week.
That’s right. As a thank you to National Lottery players, BFI Escapes is taking part in Open Week by offering a very special film preview of The Penguin Lessons, starring Steve Coogan and Jonathan Pryce, more than a month before its general release.
This special screening will take place on 17th March 2025 at over 100 independent cinemas across the UK.
The Penguin Lessons is a comedy-drama starring Coogan as a British teacher who takes a job at a school in Argentina in 1976. His life is transformed when he rescues an orphaned penguin from the beach.
All shows (various timings dependent on the cinema) for The Penguin Lessons will be on 17th March 2025 in the evening. The film will be shown with descriptive subtitles on screen. Tickets will be available from 19th February via https://escapes.cinematik.app/.
