The National Lottery’s Big Bash was held once again at the OVO Arena Wembley on Wednesday 6th December, 2023. It was hosted by comedian Jason Manford and singer and presenter Alesha Dixon, who were joined by guests including Sir Mo Farah and Brian Cox as well as a host of big-names from the entertainment world.

The show celebrated the big moments of 2023 such as the 75th anniversary of Windrush, the UK’s hosting of Eurovision and included surprise contributions from Idris Elba and Olivia Colman.

From sensational performances of This Life and Never Forget by Take That, to a surprise appearance by this year’s Eurovision winner, Sweden’s Loreen, the event showcased some of the year’s unforgettable moments. It included a heart-warming rendition of A Million Dreams by the 100 Voices Choir featuring both Ukrainian and Liverpudlian children, brought together earlier this year for the UK’s hosting of the Eurovision Song Contest.

Becky Hill opened the night with a show-stopping performance of her hit Disconnect, while Sir Mo Farah was recognised by The National Lottery for his outstanding career.

Other performances included Busted’s medley of hits, Cat Burns’ rendition of Know That You’re Not Alone, a very special Masked Singer reveal and a Barbie Lip Sync battle featuring queens from RuPaul’s Drag Race UK.

Tears were shed when the crowd witnessed an emotional performance commemorating the 75th anniversary of Windrush. The moving tribute included a special recognition award from The National Lottery to an individual who has inspired his community.

As a thank you to you, our amazing players, we offered thousands of free** tickets to the show when they went on general release at 1pm on 2nd November. As you can imagine, they were snapped up in a heartbeat.
