Enniskillen Castle, County Fermanagh

Remembering the Showbands is a fascinating exhibition of memorabilia evoking the musical scene in Northern Ireland in the 1960s and 1970s. Using material collected by local enthusiast Philip Darcy, it captures the atmosphere of an era when showbands played to packed houses every night.

RSPB Belfast Window on Wildlife

Offer: Free entry, 9th-11th March and 13th-17th March 2024

You’ll have the chance to see more than 100 species of birds and other wildlife when you visit Belfast’s Window on Wildlife (WOW). Avian attractions include lapwings and terns, while spring brings flocks of black-tailed godwits to the lagoon. Warm up in the visitor centre where there’s a kids’ corner to keep small birdwatchers amused.

Ardress House, County Armagh

Offer: Free entry 9th–10th March and 16th–17th March 2024

This elegant 17th century house, with its grounds and traditional farmyard, is just one of the National Trust properties offering free entry during National Lottery Open Week. Set in 100-acres of rolling countryside on the border of the River Tall, it was once owned by the writer and lawyer George Ensor. Dogs are welcome as long as they’re kept on leads in the grounds and gardens.
